About

Bunker Geek is a news site covering video games, sci-fi and fantasy, tech and science. It is written in French and also published in English and Swedish.

Its world is inspired by a 1950s archivists' bunker: leather armchairs, brass, wood panelling, the warm glow of desk lamps, typewritten index cards, files sealed with wax. The news is archived here to be passed on, checked and explained.

How we work

We publish three formats: quick news (20 to 30 seconds to read), articles, and longer, more analytical features. We investigate by cross-checking at least three reliable sources and going back to the primary source (press release, conference, scientific paper) whenever possible. We classify by keeping what is confirmed apart from what is not. We pass on by explaining things simply and defining every technical term.

Every piece relies on at least three reliable, verifiable sources (five for a feature). It is written with the help of artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic), then checked, corrected and approved by a human. The English and Swedish versions are translated from the French original with the help of AI. Everything is signed collectively: “The Bunker archivists”.
